Inside our latest update you will meet 12-year-old Florence Burgess, who was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukaemia at the age of eight.

She shares her story of how the Stars Appeal made a difference to her and her family during long stays in hospital.

This year, we have celebrated the opening of the new Beatrice Birth Centre as well as the expansion of accommodation at the Neonatal Unit, which means more mums will be now able to stay with their babies.

You can also read about how you have helped fund 63 new vital signs monitors which are being used across the Hospital.

And former midwife Alison Sturdy, who was diagnosed with kidney cancer, tells us about how she has benefitted from our projects supporting cancer patients.

There is also more on the other projects you are helping to support, ensuring we can go above and beyond for patients and staff.

These include the gardens and outdoor spaces we provide and maintain, the Chaplaincy service, toiletry packs for those who arrive in Hospital in an emergency with no access to basic essentials, to the free Wi-Fi keeping patients connected with their loved ones.

We aim to raise over £1million each year to fund projects which offer direct, practical support to patients, their families and the Hospital’s staff.

None of this would be possible without your generous donations, fundraising and people remembering us in their Wills.

Thank you everyone. Your support is really making a difference to patients and the NHS staff caring for them.
