We fund and maintain gardens and outdoor spaces for patients, staff and visitors. Located across the hospital site, they provide places where patients and their loved ones can take time away from the hospital environment, and where staff can have a well-earned break during or after a busy shift. The gardens are maintained by our dedicated Stars Appeal gardener.

- Tranquil Garden (Rod’s Place), level 2 – open to all
- Therapy Garden, Farley Stroke Ward – Farley and Spire Ward patients, relatives and staff only
- Nunton Garden, rear of Nunton Unit – open to all
- Breamore Garden, Breamore Ward – Breamore Ward patients, relatives and staff only
- Neonatal Unit – Neonatal Unit families and staff only
- Meadow Garden, behind Wessex Rehabilitation Centre – open to all
- Benson Suite Garden (Mia’s Garden), Benson Suite nr Labour Ward – Benson Suite families only
- Staff Wellbeing Courtyard, nr Pharmacy/Rheumatology, level 3 – staff only
- Beatrice Birth Centre Courtyard Garden – Maternity patients, relatives and staff only
How the Stars Appeal makes a difference:
- Creating gardens and other outdoor spaces to enhance the wellbeing of patients, staff and visitors
- Funding a dedicated Stars Appeal gardener to maintain these areas to ensure they are always available to those who need them
