Farley Stroke Unit

Every year Farley Stroke Unit cares for around 350 local people who have had a stroke. Most people affected are over 65, but anyone can have a stroke, including children and even babies. Whilst some patients stay for a couple of days, others  will need to spend many months in hospital.

The Stars Appeal works to support stroke patients and enable the doctors, nurses and therapists who care for them to provide the best, most effective treatment.

How much we’re aiming to raise this year:

How the Stars Appeal makes a difference:

  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Stars Appeal water cooler and beverage trolley
  • Accommodation for patients’ loved ones
  • Visits from hospital Chaplains
