Stars Appeal projects support thousands of local people with cancer at the Hospital every year being cared for on the Pembroke Unit, in Haematology and Oncology, and across many other wards and departments.
Through your support we can continue providing the latest treatment and diagnostic equipment as well as those little extras to make time in hospital more comfortable.
How your support can make a difference to people with cancer at Salisbury Hospital:
- A dedicated Stars Appeal Aromatherapist offering hand and foot massages and other complimentary therapies
- Complimentary ‘Buff’ headwear
- Free hot and cold drinks from the Stars Appeal coffee machine and fridge
- Snacks and treats
- Supporting prehabilitation, a programme of one-to-one support focusing on physical exercise, diet and weight, and mental health, to help patients prepare for surgery and treatment
- Dedicated swimming sessions in the Hospital’s pool
- A Stars Appeal Cancer Rehabilitation Assistant who helps patients during their treatment and recovery
- Improving the patient environment with furnishings and décor
- Funding the latest diagnostic and treatment equipment
