Your generous donations and fundraising are continuing to make a difference every day to hundreds of patients, their families and NHS staff at Salisbury Hospital.

Inside our latest update you can read about the difference you’re making to local patients like David Kunzer after he was diagnosed with bowel cancer and Megan Field, who has been supported in her recovery from a spinal injury with specialist equipment funded by your donations.

We also mark the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Benson Suite. The Suite, which opened in 2013, provides a dedicated, private space where bereaved families who lose a baby shortly before or after birth can spend time with their babies and grieve away from the Labour Ward. Tamar Vellacott shares how the Benson Suite supported her and her family after the loss of their baby son Albie.

Thanks to your brilliant support, this year we have been able to fund a vast array of new equipment for the Hospital. This includes state-of-the-art heart monitors for expectant mums and their babies, the hospital’s first ever 3D ultrasound machine, a new plastic surgery theatre, and a virtual reality therapy headset that takes children into magical worlds, far away from their hospital bed, to name just a few examples. You can read about these projects and more in our update.

None of our work would be possible without your support and we are hugely grateful for every penny we receive, whether through your donations, fundraising, and poignantly that given in memory of a loved one or through a gift left in a Will. A huge thank you to you all!
