Rockbourne Fair raises over £50,000

We are delighted to announce that an amazing £50,301 was raised by this year’s Rockbourne Fair held in October at Salisbury Racecourse.

Our huge thanks to the organising committee: Bev, Jane, Sarah, Anya and Louise for their brilliant support which will help us towards our target of raising over £1million this year to help local people being treated at Salisbury District Hospital and the hard working NHS staff who care for them by funding work like this

They presented their wonderful donation to Stars Appeal Ambassadors and our President Lord Pembroke.

Our thanks also to everyone who went along to ‘Shop the Rock’ and of course to the stallholders for their continued support of the fair.

Next year’s dates for your diary are 19th-21st October – we’ll see you there!

Bev Moulding, chair of the organising committee said: “We are thrilled to have raised such an amazing amount for the Stars Appeal and Salisbury District Hospital. It has been such a difficult year for so many charity events so we feel very grateful that we could put it on again this year to raise these much-needed funds. Our thanks to everyone who came along to ‘Shop the Rock’ and of course to the stallholders for their continued support of the fair.”

Lord Pembroke, President of the Stars Appeal said: “To raise such an incredible amount in what were very challenging circumstances was I think even a surprise to the wonderful team that organised it! It was, in my opinion, the best Rockbourne fair yet with a beautifully curated selection of stands perfectly timed for the run up to Christmas. In what has been a challenging year for the Stars Appeal, a fundraising event such as this really has been a beacon of hope as we head to 2022 and goes to show that despite the barriers facing all of us, it is still possible to achieve the extraordinary. Thank you!”
