Rockbourne Fair opens its doors to welcome shoppers for 3-day event

The Rockbourne Fair 2024 officially opened its doors today at Salisbury Racecourse, welcoming thousands of eager shoppers to enjoy a three-day event in support of the charity.

Running from today (Wednesday 16^th October) through to Friday (October 18th), the Fair offers two floors of over 100 handpicked stalls, featuring an array of luxury homeware, cosmetics, jewellery, gourmet food, fashion, and gifts.

Alongside returning Fair favourites, visitors can explore new and exciting stalls, offering a diverse range of products that you won’t find on the high street.

Thursday, 17^th October will also see the return of late-night shopping, with the Fair open until 7.30pm for those who prefer to browse after work or enjoy a more relaxed evening experience.

Bev Moulding, Chair of the Rockbourne Fair Committee, says: “We’re thrilled to see the Fair in full swing and are so excited to welcome both new and returning visitors. The Rockbourne Fair has something for everyone – it’s the perfect opportunity to shop for unique gifts, catch up with friends over lunch, and most importantly, support the Stars Appeal, which does incredible work for Salisbury Hospital. Every purchase really does make a difference to local people at Salisbury Hospital.”

New for this year, shoppers can treat themselves to lunch from the Rockbourne Fair Menu in the recently renovated on-site restaurant, which includes offers on coffee and cake and prosecco. Shoppers can also take part in the Rockbourne Fair prize draw to win a luxury picnic hamper worth over £100, with all ticket sales going to the Stars Appeal.

Money raised will go towards the £1million the Stars Appeal aims to raise this year to fund new equipment, enhancements to buildings, and ongoing projects supporting patients across Salisbury Hospital including the Stars Appeal Wi-Fi, hospital chaplaincy, support for patients with cancer and the Stars Appeal Play Assistant on Sarum Children’s Ward.

Helena Sinclair, of the Stars Appeal, added: “The funds raised from the Fair will enable us to continue funding vital services and projects across Salisbury Hospital, enhancing the care for hundreds of patients every day. We are so grateful to Bev and her team for their continued support of the charity. We look forward to meeting shoppers and supporters at the Fair and sharing the impact of your generosity.”
