The Stars Appeal played a major role in funding the hospital’s Bereavement Suite. The suite provides a dedicated supportive environment where families and friends can pay their last respects to loved ones. It has a welcoming reception area and sensitively furnished family rooms. It provides the hospital’s dedicated bereavement team with first class facilities to work from which complement the caring service they provide to bereaved families.
The Stars Appeal also supports bereaved families through hospital chaplaincy, condolence cards, memory boxes, photographs and other keepsakes, and the provision of a dedicated registrars’ office on the Hospital site.
